Mary Tablante is the the Assistant Director, Strategic Communications at Advancing Justice | AAJC. Previously, she was the digital strategies manager where she was responsible for creating and implementing digital advocacy strategy and campaigns to support the organization’s work to advance civil and human rights for Asian Americans and to build and promote a fair and equitable society for all. Mary comes with an impressive communications background as she has covered Asian American issues and stories as a freelance reporter and worked on social media outreach as a community manager for USA TODAY’s Your Take initiative.
Prior to joining the Advancing Justice | AAJC Communications department, Mary was the senior communications associate for the National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA), a coalition of more than 30 national organizations working together to advance policy issues affecting Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and history from the University of Maryland, College Park.
