As Director of Immigration Advocacy at Advancing Justice | AAJC, Megan Horn Essaheb advocates in Congress and federal agencies on issues affecting immigrants, including immigration reform, guestworker programs, family reunification, and more.
Before joining Advancing Justice | AAJC, Megan worked at Farmworker Justice where she engaged in policy advocacy on immigration and labor issues affecting farmworkers. Megan also advocated on behalf of Mexican guestworkers at Centro de los Derechos del Migrante.
Prior to attending law school, Megan was an immigrants’ rights activist and a member of Teach For America in Miami, where she taught for four years. Megan holds a law degree from Fordham University School of Law where she was a Stein Scholar in Public Interest Law and Ethics. Megan received her B.A. from Wesleyan University.
