The U.S. Supreme Court: Unions and Collective Bargaining

This case is a First Amendment issue as it relates to collective bargaining and political activity by labor unions. At issue is a question of whether collective bargaining by unions is political speech, and as such, whether the First Amendment requires that union members opt-in, rather than requiring them to opt-out, as currently required.
