Aleisha Flores is the Media Relations Associate at Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC where she supports strategic communications efforts. She brings six years of SABRE Award-recognized communications experience in industries spanning technology, fashion and beauty. Aleisha has secured media coverage and award wins for clients in Inc., Business Insider, Allure, Bustle, Axios, speaking opportunities at Collision and more.
Prior to joining Advancing Justice | AAJC, Aleisha was an Associate Manager in the Social Impact division at a public relations agency, where she worked with clients to amplify campaigns around marriage equality, civic engagement, women’s health, financial and legal accessibility, DEI (diversity, equity & inclusion) and more. She has also served as a communications team member for Pilipino American Unity for Progress (UniPro), Marketing Chair of the Board of Directors of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Tri-State District, Newsletter Editor for the Rutgers University—New Brunswick Association of Philippine Students (RAPS) and as a founding contributing writer for FINDink, the publication of the Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue.
In her spare time, Aleisha is a freelance reporter for Kpopconcerts.com, where she covers music of the Korean diaspora. She volunteers her time to Shoes That Fit’s Delaware chapter, which provides new shoes to young students living in poverty to help them tackle life and school with dignity.
