FOIA for Records on Government's Efforts to Investigate and Prosecute U.S.-Based Scientists and Researchers Believed to Have Connections to China
April 19, 2021There have been high profile incidents of wrongful prosecutions of scientists of Asian descent.
The American Civil Liberties Union and the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation (together, the “ACLU”) and Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC (“Advancing Justice | AAJC”) submitted this Freedom of Information Act request for records pertaining to the government’s efforts to scrutinize, investigate, prosecute, and take other measures against U.S.-based scientists and researchers believed to have connections to China.
